Journal of the New Voyageurs

In 1967, Norm Crerar captained Manitoba’s team in the historic Centennial Voyageur Canoe Pageant, a 104-day race retracing Canada’s fur trade routes. Alongside teammate Gib McEachern, Norm led one of North America’s dominant canoe racing teams, awakening Canadians to an exciting part of their history.

After a 20-year gap, the Canadian Voyageurs returned to the waterways, honoring explorers such as David Thompson and retracing historic routes. This second printing of Journal of the New Voyageurs includes journals, photos, and stories from these remarkable expeditions.
